In addition to her MCIPS from the Chartered Institute Procurement and Supply, Kavita has over 13 years of experience working in the private sector across multiple commercial disciplines; her roles have included Head of Global Procurement for BT Conferencing and UK & EMEA Business Director for Global Services where she delivered cost transformation solutions for small businesses and multi-national
organisations. Kavita’s continuing mission is to bring this extensive knowledge and experience to bear for charities and voluntary organisations.

Kavita is passionate about the charity and volunteering sector and held the role of Corporate Group Volunteer Lead; Kavita was responsible for encouraging thousands of employees to offer their skills and time to a diverse number of charities.

Workshop (Part 1): Procurement as an enabler not a blocker 

In this workshop we will discuss the role of procurement within charities, how to overcome the challenges and demonstrate the value it brings. We will explore new approaches to raise the profile of the procurement team and their achievements. We will discuss tools to demonstrate clarity and control and how to share this throughout an organisation, from Board of Trustees to volunteering teams.

Workshop (Part 2): Procurement as a Fundraising tool

Charities are facing increased public scrutiny on the way they spend their funds. In this workshop we will discuss how procurement can help fundraising teams demonstrate the value of public and corporate donations. We will share tools to provide clarity on expenditure, demonstrate control of costs and how to share with donors to build confidence that funds are spent in the right way.
