Mark has worked in the Higher Education sector for the past two years as Commercial Director at Northumbria University, with responsibility for procurement, purchasing and payments, as well as other commercial income generative activities outside of the Procurement arena. Having successfully implemented a P2P solution within the University in early 2017 resulting in greater visibility across the purchase to pay value chain, focus has now turned to continuous improvement across areas of process efficiency, approval mandates and contract/ supplier performance management. Prior to this role, Mark undertook a number of strategic, business development and operational roles within the private sector, across financial services and manufacturing industries.
